Kacstone Record’s, a Ghanaian entertainment and talent development company focused on music, youth empowerment, sports, and community development, has commissioned a standard volleyball court for Paga Senior High School in the Upper East Region as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme aimed at promoting youth development through sports and education.
The facility was officially unveiled on June 6, 2026, during a ceremony attended by government officials, education authorities, traditional leaders, students, and community members, underscoring the company’s commitment to supporting education and youth development through sports.
The speech on behalf of the Managing Director of Kacstone Record’s, Wenawome Aborah, was delivered by Raymond Addah, who outlined the company’s broader development agenda for the school and its commitment to improving both academic and sporting outcomes.
However, the company used the occasion to make a strong appeal to the Government of Ghana, through the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, for Paga SHS to be absorbed into the national boarding school system as a matter of urgency.
According to Kacstone Record’s, upgrading the school into a boarding institution would significantly improve discipline, reduce unnecessary movement in and out of campus, and create a more structured environment conducive to teaching and learning.
The company further explained that boarding status would ease the burden on parents by providing students with access to feeding and accommodation facilities, while enabling learners to focus fully on their academic work.
It stressed that the current day-school arrangement has contributed to low enrolment, limited concentration on studies, and increased indiscipline, as some students are compelled to move in and out of school in search of basic necessities.
Kacstone Record’s therefore urged the Education Minister to give favourable consideration to the request, noting that boarding status would enable the school to benefit from critical government-supported infrastructure and interventions that would enhance academic performance and student welfare.
The District Chief Executive for Kassena-Nankana West, Stephen Aeke Akurugo, commended Kacstone Record’s for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will strengthen sports development and talent identification in the district.
The commissioning ceremony was preceded by a volleyball competition and cross-country race involving several schools as part of efforts to promote inter-school sports and talent discovery.
Kacstone Record’s reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education, sports development, and community empowerment, stressing that targeted infrastructure investment and policy advocacy remain key to transforming the future of young people in the region and beyond.
